c. The Governors must consult with the Prime Minister
d. The Projects must be included in the Municipal Local Plan for Disaster Prevention, when they are implemented by the municipalities.
B. The projects are given preferential treatment such as a heightened grant rate, when they are included in the Five-Year Plan of Emergency Projects for Earthquake Disaster Prevention
a. 20 projects provided in Sec. 3 of the Act are eligible for the Plan.
b. The facilities which are eligible for the higher grant rate are as follows;
- fire protection facilities
- public clinics in remote areas
- social welfare facilities
- public elementary and junior high schools
- facilities for emergency information communication
- alternative facilities for life lines (such as water wells, water reserves)
